March is here, since the spirit of spring can be felt. Today, we had a forum with Missionary Wooyoung Choi, a proud alumnus of Handong Global University who is working in Malawi.

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and is a small country sandwiched between Mozambique/Zambia/Tanzania. However, it is said that there is a lake large enough to be called 'Land of Lakes' and the nature is very clean.

Currently, missionary Choi is conducting missionary work 'in their own way' in Malawi, and above all, he is practicing 'holistic missions' in accordance with the situation of the poorest countries.

Not only for evangelism, but also for the problems of eating and living of the locals, the missionary is pursuing 'missions that can be healthy both physically and mentally'.

Examples for this are:

1) Dissemination of appropriate technology to residents

2) Sharing of daily necessities and having free check-ups with the short-term volunteer team visits

3) 'Aiming for an independent and sustainable ministry through a 'business model'.

He is a proud alumnus of Handong Global University, a challenger who serve with joy and gratitude in the difficult environment of Africa. With the conclusion of 'Wherever You are Called, Love Jesus’, and the missionary’s sayings of serving God, cooperating and working together, became a big challenge for us.
