"Everyone's life is precious. We want to save people's lives based on humanitarianism and give glory to God through it."
At the Mission Forum on November 22, 2022, ANNE C Reitsema, the international director of MEDAIR, an international emergency relief NGO that began in Switzerland, came and gave us valuable ministry.
MEDAIR is active in urgent situations that save people's lives around the world, has its headquarters in Switzerland and through "Local Partners" in each region, and all of its international headquarters are Christians and faithfully fulfilling their duties based on Christian values.
It works in disaster areas that require emergency relief, including New Orleans in 2005, the Indonesian tsunami, Nepal earthquake, and recently the provision of emergency shelters for refugees due to Ethiopia's civil war, and health and quarantine activities in Africa.
Above all, MEDAIR organizations say that what is important is "life of people" and "glory to God through this."
We are working with a Christian worldview of Creation-Corruption-Redemption-Restoration, and we emphasized that we are not trying to convert them through our activities, although we directly preach the gospel. She told us that it would be wrong to ask them for something in return for their kindness.
At the end of the forum, it touches me a lot that we are moving because we believe in Jesus Christ. Thank you to the MEDAIR organization for letting us know that saving people's lives is also done through the gospel, and we look forward to your valuable activities in the future!!
